Hilton Spears Custom Cabinets, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business that was founded on a simple yet profound love for wood. The journey began as a hobby for our founder, Hilton Spears, who started crafting and creating with wood as a teenager. Over time, this passion evolved into a successful career that has spanned over four decades.

Our Story

In the early days, Hilton Spears would work on various projects for friends and family, often at no cost. It wasn't until the early 1980s that he decided to turn his hobby into a profession. He began making and selling custom furniture to the general public, and it was during this time that he also built his first set of kitchen cabinets for his own home. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and it wasn't long before he started receiving requests from others who wanted their own custom kitchen cabinets.

In January 1996, Hilton Spears Custom Cabinets, Inc. became a full-time business. The initial operation was run out of a 1,500 square foot facility with just two employees - Hilton Spears himself and one part-time assistant. Over the years, the business continued to grow, and by 2006, the facility had expanded to 10,000 square feet. In response to the growing demand for their services, the company made the decision to relocate to a new, larger facility within the city limits of Philadelphia.

Today, our facility stands at an impressive 19,000 square feet, with plans to further expand by an additional 4,800 square feet. We are proud to employ a dedicated staff of 20 skilled craftsmen who share our commitment to providing exceptional quality and customer service.
